Our family has journeyed quite a bit through the years. Amy and I think back through the years and are glad that we took the time to visit parks, lakes and castles with our children. One summer journey sticks out in our minds.
While on vacation, we traveled in the norther part of Portugal. As we visited local flea markets and small villages, we came across a large glacial lake. It was really beautiful. We enjoyed it so much that we went back a few days later to swim and explore again. We rented paddle boats, swam and enjoyed being surrounded by the mountains.
Studying the Bible can be like taking a journey. The Bible does have an overarching goal and message that is developed (Ephesians 1:7-10). In the progression of this message, each of the 66 books has its own unique contribution to the message. Part of the joy of Bible study is discovering how each book furthers this overall idea.
The book of Ephesians is a great book to study. We might say that it is a wonderful journey to take. I have led many people through the study of this book and found it extremely helpful. I am attaching the file I use for this study. I trust you will also find it helpful.
